  • About What is not

A project more than 2 years in the making - a book me and Vita Lietyte are writing in Lithuanian and English. LT version is done and has been sent out to multiple Lithuanian publishers. So far we only got an answer from Siaures Atenai, who are interested in publishing some of the haikus from the book.

English version is still being finished

More updates and maybe exven excerpts from the book to come.

    Wine and poetry

light as a feather of a sparrow, falling in a circular pattern my stream of thought revolving around you, since the circle is only shape that can engulf something that is devoid of existence. Sitting on a bench in a park on a ghostly silent autumn afternoon, yearning for that what is not... not distant, no unattainable, not beyond reach, just right here, lured by a couple miserable crumbs of hard stale bread tossed on the paved path by a cold wrinkled hand now hidden back into the woolen glove. While a careless passer by splashes the puddle, wings flap and... nothing, just a few miserly breadcrumbs.

    About My Art and myself

Painting is my language, I paint about myself, about the world around me, about simple things and complex things, about mundane and extraordinary. My art is an intersection of myth, folklore, fairy tales, personal experiences, and dreams. It’s playful and colorful, sometimes scary, sometimes subtle and delicate. I use different media, but keep coming back to my favorites - oil pastels and acrylic. The creative process for me is something that has a mind of its own, something that just happens, rather than is made.

I was born and grew up in a little town by the Baltic sea called Palanga I moves to United States at 20 and have lived here since.

-Wait a minute -But why? -Why are you in a hurry? -Because I want to catch up with you. -But I am here, right behind you. I am touching your white shoulder with my fingertips and I sink into oblivion. Time becomes fragile, like a dry flower between leafs of your book. Could you slow your steps please, just a little bit, breath out easily, lower your eyelids, so you could see – there and back -Can I?.. May I?.. Really? I… turn back hastily and you disappear like a mist. -I told you: Wait a minute.
